HELP US PRESERVE POLYNESIAN CULTURES
Aloha,
We are the Polynesian Cultural Center, a non-profit based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We teach members of the community through classes, community presentations, school presentations, and our annual Polynesian Cultural Festival. We teach about the music, dance, language, arts and crafts, and culture of Samoa, Tahiti, Hawai’i and New Zealand. Our Annual Polynesian Cultural Festival is held every February at a public park and features musicians and dancers and food and drink vendors from all over Florida and Polynesia for a nominal charge that covers the costs. It attracts as many as 2000 visitors from the local community over the course of the weekend. We were unable to have our Annual Festival the past two years due to COVID so we find ourselves short of funds for the festival that will be held in July this year. It costs $3000 to hold the Festival. We have to pay the County for the venue, and police and fire protection, and travel for our Polynesian artists, craftspeople and performers in advance. Can you help us preserve our culture? Any amount will help, even $1. Mahalo! Thank you so much and hoping to see you on July 9th and July 10th at the Jaco Pastorius Park for the Annual Polynesian seafood festival 2022!
