September 11th 2022, the Humane society of Northwest Georgia was notified of a dog left abandoned/ chained to a tool shed, when the owners moved out and left her to fend for herself. At first we thought Maddie was pregnant, but after her first visit to the vet's that wasn't the case. She has heartworms also. The very first vet we saw suggested we put her down. Her stomach was swollen from all the things she had ingested trying to stay alive. Only one vet would not give up on her, Robyn O'Kane has saw us through everything. She is mine and Maddie's hero. Maddie has an appointment at the University of Tennessee special medicine on May 1st, so now we're doing a fundraiser to be able to finally give her a normal life. Please, if you can help in any way Maddie and I would be so grateful.
