On Friday march 20th my sister Joanne was going into her apartment, and slipped on moss on her deck, and she apparently has the greatest luck in the world because… forget it I’ll refrain from joking… She has a Trimalleolar break in her ankle, and that’s probably the worse case scenario, and needs surgery as soon as possible. I copied and pasted this from google- A trimalleolar ankle fracture is a severe, unstable injury involving breaks in all three malleoli: the medial (inner), lateral (outer), and posterior (back) bones of the ankle joint. Caused by high-energy twists or falls, this injury requires urgent medical attention, usually surgery (ORIF) to restore joint stability and months to recover. Although my sister is lucky enough to have medical insurance, and family support through this ordeal, I want to make this process less traumatizing then it already is, and help her keep her apartment, and any other costs that may come up. Any money she may get from unemployment, or disability will take a little bit to kick in, and if you’re feeling charitable my family, and I would be very appreciative! -Sam
