My name is Cat. I live in the US (Oregon) I am raising funds for Moamen to evacuate Gaza.
Moamen is 36 years old and is an independent journalist and youth activist from North Gaza. Him, his mother and father have remained steadfast in the North for the entirety of this aggression. He is their caretaker as they are elderly and disabled.
In May of 2024 Moamen was injured as the result of bombardment. His jaw was fractured, most of his teeth are now destroyed and he urgently needs maxillofacial surgery as well as dental implants. He struggles to eat and drink water and speak. He was injured again in July of 2024 as the the result of a missile strike. Because of the lack of medical care Moamen's injuries in his mouth and face are chronically infected. Moamen's dream is to evacuate and receive the medical care that he needs.
When I say that Gaza is uninhabitable, I mean that in a literal sense. Humans and animals are starving to death and dying of dehydration. Diseases are spreading and the destruction is rampant. Every day our friends in Gaza face death. Mental health is non-existent in these circumstances.
