Hello everyone! I'm here to seek your support for my sister, Nina, who has been wheelchair-bound for 38 years. She is finally getting the opportunity to travel out of the US for the first time, but she needs a travel wheelchair to make it possible. About Nina:
Nina has faced numerous challenges throughout her life but has always maintained a positive outlook. Her outgoing personality & determined spirit have always been a source of inspiration for anyone she meets. Now, at 38 years old, she has the chance to explore a different culture. & fulfill her lifelong dream of getting her first stamp in her passport. This trip will create cherished memories and open new horizons for her.
The Need for a Reclining Travel Wheelchair:
- To ensure Nina's comfort and functionality during her travels, a reclining travel wheelchair is essential. This lightweight and compact chair is designed specifically for travel, making it the perfect companion for her adventure. Its reclining feature gives her a safe place to sleep as well.
- Aging Parents and Financial Burden: Our parents have helped to support her tirelessly throughout her life but are now retired and living on a fixed income. Nina is also struggling to support herself on her disability benefits which do NOT cover the cost of living in 2023. The added expense of the wheelchair exceeds their means, and as a caring sibling, I want to help in any way I can. I want my sister to experience life & the world just like any able bodied person would. There is no one I can think of more deserving of this gift so please help me make Nina's dream a reality.
