Recently, my local shelter took in a small puppy who has already been through more than any animal should. He came in scared, underweight, and unsure of the world around him. While other dogs have come and gone, finding their forever families, this little one has been left behind—waiting patiently, day after day, for someone to choose him.
From the moment I met him, something just clicked. He gently wagged his tail, walked up to me, and rested his head against my hand like he already trusted me. In that moment, I knew I wanted to give him the life he deserves—a life full of safety, warmth, and love. I’ve decided to name him Gigi.
But as much as my heart is ready, my financial situation isn’t quite there yet.
The total cost to bring Gigi home and give him a proper start is around $1,800. This includes his adoption fees, vaccinations, neutering, initial vet visits, food, supplies, and a safe, comfortable setup at home. I want to make sure that when he comes home, he has everything he needs—not just to survive, but to truly thrive.
Gigi has already waited long enough. He deserves to wake up in a home where he feels safe, where he’s not just another kennel number, but a cherished companion. I want to be that person for him. I want to give him long walks, cozy naps, playful afternoons, and a lifetime of love.
