Riley School, and both Marcy and New Dawn High Schools, are specialized education settings for students grades K -12th that require intense support in the areas of emotional coping, social skills, and behavioral management. Many of our students come from homes that face serious challenges of poverty, joblessness, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
Our schools provide a variety of services to students, including mental and rehabilitation therapy, in conjunction with receiving a quality education. One of our most successful programs is our community based social skills. In this program, we involve students in activities in which they may practice their skills in a variety of settings, while also working towards their own individual goals. This may include involvement in sports teams, field trips, community service, incentive activities, and participation in a summer program. These activities are not covered by our regular school budget. In addition, we use rewards to motivate academic achievement, and we would appreciate any support you can provide.
