May 15 2023 I had back surgery and now I'm paralyzed from the waist down. I'm trying to raise money for mobility equipment and help with medical expenses. I'm learning to deal with my new life. I do have plans to be a motivational speaker to help Veterans deal with their disabilities. I know I'm confined to a wheelchair but that does not define who I am as a human being. It's important to stay out of your head because the enemy will tear you down and you will feel like you're a burden to friends and family. Then you start thinking that you're worthless and what's the point in living. That is a dangerous place to be. I know that I have limitations but I can do things that I couldn't do before such as being able to do the Boston Marathon with the right wheelchair and go skiing again.
