I have written a manuscript I hope to publish on the subject of the importance of leaving a Legacy. Everyone leaves a Legacy when they die. Questions is, “Is it the Legacy you want to leave? How you will be remembered?” I bring many decades of experience that culminates in my writing.
My project requires me to publish materials for training people, especially men, to challenge them to build a Legacy for their family and all those who are in their sphere of influence. A legacy is about what a man can impart of himself to someone else. It’s an investment in the person receiving wisdom from an “elder.” All men, whether married or single, young or old, need to consider this challenge. Ideally a Legacy should begin with a young man and intentionally developed over his life time. But senior citizens can do this also.
This is not about leaving wealth as in either money or property. That is certainly a good thing to do. But the focus of my work is the person who becomes a mature individual who, by the time he is a senior has become an “elder.” The Bible is very clear about this concept.
I visualize my role like the old wagon train of people migrating from the east to find a place and home in the west representing a new life. The wagon train had 2 people who were indispensable to the success of the settlers. The Wagon Master served the train’s people for everyday needs. The scout was the one who was way out in front of the train exploring the safest, fastest route to reach the destination. That is my role, I’m the scout working with men of all ages of adulthood. Helping them identify the direction for them and enabling them to effectively reach and cross the finish line.
To do that, I must have your help to fund $2500 to publish training materials.
