About Our GSA
The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) at our public high school in Philadelphia, PA is dedicated to creating an inclusive, safe, and empowering space for LGBTQ+ students and their allies. High school can be a complex journey, but having a welcoming community where students are affirmed, celebrated, and supported makes all the difference. Our club meets regularly to foster peer connection, facilitate open dialogue on identity and inclusion, and build a culture of empathy across our entire student body. By cultivating strong allyship and providing a supportive network, our GSA ensures that every student, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, feels seen, valued, and safe to express their authentic self.
Why We Need Your Help
To make our vision for a thriving, active community a reality, we rely on external funding to support our programming, educational outreach, and campus events. Your generous contributions will directly enable us to bring local Philadelphia guest speakers, artists, and LGBTQ+ youth advocates into our school to inspire and empower our students. Funds will also go toward vital club meeting supplies, high-visibility promotional materials for campus-wide visibility campaigns, and essential costs for hosting community-building events throughout the school year. Beyond meeting basic operational needs, these funds allow us to stock a small library of inclusive youth literature, provide light refreshments during after-school meetings, and offer registration or transport for leadership conferences.
