Hi friends, I need some help. I’m wrapping up my last semester of residency and I just moved out of subsidized housing to Brooklyn, where I used my remaining savings for housing deposit and moving costs. One week after relocating, my apartment flooded and saturated my bed. I’m having to move again and purchase new bedding, but am out of savings so currently living paycheck to paycheck.
Unfortunately, my landlord won’t offer compensation and my rental insurance won’t cover costs due to varied restrictions. Any assistance with cost of re-relocation and bedding is hugely appreciated. Thank you.
