🕊️ Solidarity Message

I am Kali, and I am standing in solidarity with Yahya Mohammed, a 5th-year medical student in Gaza whose path to becoming a doctor has been shaped by both extraordinary dedication and devastating loss.

What follows is his own message, written in his words, sharing his reality, his struggle, and the final step he needs to complete his education and continue serving his community.

📩 Message from Yahya Mohammed

I used to study how to save lives. Now I am fighting to preserve my own future.

My name is Yahya Mohammed. I am a 5th-year medical student, currently in my first semester. Not long ago, my life was defined by study, clinical rotations, and the quiet certainty of becoming a doctor. Today, that world has been reduced to a fragile tent and a daily struggle for survival.

The Night the World Collapsed

When the war began, everything I knew disappeared. My family’s home, our stability, and every cent of our savings were buried under rubble. The deepest wound, however, was not material. It was the loss of my brother.

No textbook prepares you for that kind of pain. No training teaches you how to continue when your own world has stopped. Now I live in a crowded tent, facing hunger, cold, and the silence of what once was home.

Education as an Act of Survival

In Gaza, continuing education is not a privilege. It is resistance against erasure.

Even as everything collapsed around me, I refused to let my mind surrender. I continued my studies through my 3rd and 4th years amid bombardment and grief. I reached my 5th year not because circumstances allowed it, but because I refused to stop.

I did not only study medicine. I lived its reality. I volunteered in overwhelmed hospitals, treating wounds, holding trembling hands, and standing beside people in their final moments while carrying my own loss at the same time.

The Final Barrier: €8,433

I have survived what I never thought I could survive, but I have reached a barrier I cannot cross alone.

To complete my degree and become the doctor my community desperately needs, I must settle my university debt of €8,433.

This is not just tuition. It is the last step between destruction and purpose. Between loss and rebuilding. Between silence and service.

How You Can Help

What was taken from me cannot be returned. But my future is still within reach.

This support does not only complete my education. It helps shape a doctor who has lived through what he will one day treat in others.

Every contribution brings me closer to that reality.

Thank you for standing with hope when everything else has fallen apart.
