Urgent Help Needed for my Family and their Community in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa
My heart is shattered for my family and their community in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, who are now living through the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Nearly every household in their district has lost their roof, and many families have lost everything β their homes, their belongings, and their sense of safety.
What was once a close-knit rural community full of life and resilience is now facing a growing humanitarian crisis. With homes destroyed and roads damaged, families are struggling to access basics such as food, clean water, baby supplies, and essential cleaning items to prevent illness and further harm. Children, elderly residents, and vulnerable families are now sleeping under tarps or in water-damaged structures with no certainty about what tomorrow holds.
I may be far away, but my heart is with them. I refuse to stand by and do nothing. I am humbly asking for your support so I can provide urgent aid directly to those who need it most.
π How Your Support Will Help:
Funds raised will go toward:
-
Emergency food and clean drinking water
-
Roof repair materials and tarpaulins
-
Basic necessities (toiletries, baby supplies, clothing)
-
Cleaning and sanitation supplies to prevent disease spread
-
Support for the most vulnerable and displaced families
No donation is too small β even the smallest contribution can help a family eat, stay dry, or rebuild a little piece of their life.
My goal is to raise $20,000 to provide immediate relief and support the community as they begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives.
If you are unable to donate, please share this campaign so we can reach more people who may be able to help. Your kindness can bring hope to families who desperately need it right now.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your compassion, generosity, and prayers for St. Elizabeth. π―π²π
