We originally started this campaign to help us with an emergency bill from last July (2023) for Larry Bird. Since that time there have been some checkups. Bird has been much improved on the prescription diet and also greatly benefiting from Solensia injections. These are pricey and we had to do the first 3, four weeks apart. Today we get an injection, but it's been about 7 weeks. We are hoping to have them further apart, and see him still have benefit in his quality of life.

He is back to playing with his fuzz balls, playing with Harley, enjoying the cat tree, and general mischief. We are glad to be able to care for him the best we can. Our goal is to start a pet insurance plan, but even then, we have a deductible to account for.

Harley cat actually has to have a surgery type appointment because of teeth cleaning and possible extraction. It is going to be a couple months, but hoping we can prepare to have the 500-700 we need to pay for the procedure. She is definitely due to get taken care of.

We are a family with slightly limited income, we are grateful for any help you can offer. Thanks so much!!

Our Harley cat has gotten ill very suddenly. We will try to get her checked soon. I didn't realize she was being so reclusive until lastnight. She has lost her appetite and is not interested in her normal routine, or playing.

We barely have the funds to have her get checked out. I'm having surgery in less than 2 weeks. Please help if you have any means.

Thanks -

We are in need of funds for cat food this week. We have had some financial struggles and recently lost a chunk of income for our household, as well as the government wanting us to repay them due to not reporting my husband's income correctly.

We have some shots coming up in July too. But we need a min of $70 to help with the prescription food for them ASAP.

We are working out the imbalance we find ourselves in & hopefully can increase our income soon. We really appreciate any way you can help us at this time.

Thanks for your support!

This week we have our first dental surgery/cleaning for Harley Quinn. It's on Thursday morning.

We are hoping she won't have to have teeth pulled, but we won't know until after it's done. We have most of the funds, but I am anxious about us having enough if she does require additional teeth to be pulled.

We also are continuing injections for Bird. They seem to agree with him, but they are dang pricey!

We would be grateful to receive donations to this *spotfund or via various $ apps (venmo/cashapp)

It's been a little while since we shared how Larry Bird is doing.

He has been adjusting to a slightly more medicated life the past few weeks. Not quite sold on the anti-anxiety meds helping him, but it takes awhile to make a real assessment.

The urinary issues have made a big improvement and we are happy that doesn't seem to be the biggest issue anymore. The main thing is that I have had a hard time with accepting he has developed some musculoskeletal issues in reaching middle age. We do need to see about another xray/radiograph, but they are a bit expensive. I say this based on my close observation with him and taking a break from his pain medication for a small period of time. We will be reviewing options for him at the vet again in the near future.

Please share within your circles. It would be a big help to receive more aid through our spot.fund story.

It's been 5 weeks since Bird started showing his discomfort. I suppose we are lucky to have been able to get him some testing and care. I know others might've not have taken that course, because of $$, as well as the extra care it might require.

We have been monitoring him, and he has been enjoying a special mix of cat food, with pumpkin and a small little bit of EVOO too. (extra virgin olive oil). He is also getting a few probiotics each day.

All things show signs of gradual improvement. We are going back to see the doctor tomorrow (8/2) and hoping to find out if he requires something more invasive or if it will be something that is more easily treated. Either way, we would really appreciate a share of our story to those people who care about the animals. We want to extend his life if we can, he's only freshly 6 years old and to us, he should get to see another 6. We appreciate any assistance - whether a donation or a share to your community.

Thanks for reading 🙏
