He's just a child they say. A child gone too soon. A child who was planning his "life after" graduation. He was taking senior pics, being excited about ordering a class ring, a year book, going to prom, making memories with friends, but most of all freeing up some time on his schedule to >game< a little more, and make a little more money.

His parents were trying to figure out "what's after high school," how they will pay for college or a place to live for him or a car, but they most certainly were not thinking {how will we pay for funeral expenses}.

We don't know what all transpired the morning he woke on what would be his last day here on earth. Did he wake up happy or mad or sad? Was it a bad day or a day just planned with friends doing what he "normally" does, whatever that may be. The details don't matter at the end of the day. They don't bring back Ryker. We can {Monday morning quarterback} all day long, but that doesn't bring back a child who had so much life left to live, so many adventures left to take, or give a Mom and Dad their son back.

Ryker won't be able to participate in any of the senior activities at First Flight High School. He won't be able to have senior skip day or give his mom a hard time about how many pictures she takes at his senior prom. He won't be able to flash that contagious smile, and make a whole room light up. He was a gentle giant, a boy of few words but when he spoke, he did with quick wit.

His Mom, Dad, and family would more than appreciate this community doing what it does best and coming together to rally around them, helping financially to help cover funeral expenses. They are a hardworking family, his mom I am sure you have seen a time or two in the local restaurants, but always with a smile, much like Ryker.

We aren't promised tomorrow. We never know if that "normal day with friends" will turn into our last day of memories made. Hug your {babies} tight and say an extra prayer as you lay your head tonight and the days to come. Check in on the family often, for the first few weeks will be a whirlwind, lots of calls texts and visits, but when life returns to "the new normal", they still need you!

Thank you for always extending a hand when your neighbor needs it. This community and the people that live here are what make it {home} and the best place to live.
