Welcome Golfers and Friends of The First Tee!

Join the Young Benefactors at Five Iron Golf to celebrate the true start of golf season: Masters Week! On Wednesday night before the Masters, join us for a happy hour to support the First Tee of Metropolitan New York. While us mere mortals don't get to decide whether to lay up through Amen Corner, or replicate Finau's ace on number 8, we can celebrate an organization unlike any other - the First Tee!

Event Details:

  • What: Young Benefactors Happy Hour
  • Date: Wednesday, April 8th, 2020
  • Time: 7:00pm - 10:00pm EST
  • Location: Five Iron Golf (Flatiron Location) ~ 138 5th Ave, New York, NY 10011
  • Contests: Contests will include 'Closest to the Pin', a Masters 50/50 contest (pick the winning golfer, and get your share of half the pot), and a look-a-like contest (the attendee with the best costume for their favorite golfer will win a new box of Pro V1s), and more!

RSVP here by making a donation of just $40 while space is still available!

$40 price of admission includes three drink tickets and access to two simulators.

Hit ‘em straight,

Who You Help:

The First Tee of Metropolitan New York was founded in 2001 at Mosholu Golf Course in the Bronx and now includes five additional Facilities at Eisenhower Park, Plainfield West 9, Golf Club at Chelsea Piers, and Weequahic Park. The Chapter was formed through a partnership that includes the Metropolitan Golf Association Foundation, the Met Section PGA and the Rudin Family to teach young people that have traditionally been denied access to the game valuable Life Skills and Nine Core Values through the game of golf. These values include Honesty, Integrity, Courtesy, Confidence, Respect, Perseverance, Judgment, Responsibility and Sportsmanship and are taught seamlessly with golf instruction through a unique curriculum developed by top educators.

Our Mission: To impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf, with a focus of serving minority and under-privileged youth.

EDUCATE - Students progress through a structured curriculum teaching them important skills to help them in their lives, on and off the golf course.

ENRICH - Through advanced classes, mentoring programs and special events, The First Tee provides participants with great opportunities to which they would otherwise not have access.

EMPOWER - The First Tee gives young people from our program guidance and the tools they need to succeed, benefiting each individual and the broader community.
