As I write this, I feel terribly ashamed of doing so. It's not a matter of pride, but it is because I hate to be a burden to anyone.
I have suffered not one, but two unexpected professional setbacks this year that have drained my savings, my health and, honestly, my drive to live. Last year, I had two car accidents that also made a dent in my savings and general finances. My monthly bills have suddenly increased, including my mortgage and car insurance. I have a few healthcare bills to take care of, and the State of Kansas has not only denied my benefits, they are forcing me to repay what I received earlier this year because of a silly technicality. I don't want to sound too pathetic, but I'm feeling like life makes little sense right now. Yes, I have applied to hundreds of positions, and yes, I have had a few interviews, in some cases, multiple interviews for one position, and these have yielded no results.
Again, this is extremely difficult for me to do. I am usually the one helping people, and that makes me extremely happy. To find myself on the other side is unbearable, but here we are. I also understand that we are all going through a terrible time in many regards, and I apologize in advance for the added burden this may feel like. I thank you from the bottom of my heart if you can help. I also ask that you can keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you, and I am terribly sorry.
