My mom who is 60yrs old been on life support for a week now due to a heart attack, she has now passed away. Before this happened she had brain surgery so a piece of her skull was missing, she also had a heart problem. When she had the heart attack she was with without oxygen for certain amount of time so that damaged her brain, it damaged the part that helps us open our eyes, talk ,walk and breathe. She can't breathe on her own so the machine does it for her. She will be taken off the machine 1/30/22. We don't know how long they keep body preserve so funding is important at this point. She didn't have LIFE INSURANCE so unfortunately we as her family is left to help pay. She has 5 adult children , grandkids and her mom is alive but in a care home.
