Yuri , known to many as Judy , fled to the United States from Mexico seeking safety and peace after experiencing serious threats and violence. She built a life in Rockport, Texas, where she became part of the local community for 4 years. She eventually married an American citizen, and together they had a beautiful daughter who is now 3 years old. Both her daughter and husband are U.S. citizens.
In April 2025, Yuri was pulled over while driving home from the grocery store. Despite having lived in the U.S. for years, she was detained by immigration authorities without being allowed to contact her attorney or present her case in court. After months in custody, she was deported suddenly and unjustly , leaving her daughter behind.
Yuri is now stranded in Matamoros, Mexico. She has no home, no money, no phone, and most heartbreakingly no access to her daughter.
We are doing everything we can to bring Yuri home and reunite her with her child. We are helping her pursue a work visa so she can legally return to the U.S. and support herself and her family. However, the process is complex and the timeline is uncertain.
In the meantime, she urgently needs support for:
-
A deposit and basic furnishings for a small apartment
-
Legal fees to begin the immigration process
-
Daily essentials (food, clothing, transportation)
-
Communication tools so she can stay connected to her daughter
Yuri is a loving mother who never should have been torn away from her child. Please help us bring her back home where she belongs — with her daughter.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference.
Thank you for your compassion.

Here is Yuri and friends for 4th of July 2024.
