I'm facing a tough situation I never saw coming. My car, which is my lifeline here in Indianapolis, needs major repairs. The axle is broken, and the frame is damaged, making it unsafe to drive. Living on disability, the repair costs are beyond what I can manage, with labor alone hitting $500, not counting parts.
Without my car, getting to my medical appointments becomes almost impossible and everyday tasks feel like mountains. Each trip outside turns into a stressful challenge, making me feel isolated and stuck.
I hold onto hope, imagining what it would be like to regain my independence with a repaired vehicle. It would mean a return to normalcy, handling everyday life without the constant worry of how to get around.
The idea of participating fully again in my community fills me with anticipation. It means being able to confidently move forward, without the constant weight of transportation issues holding me back.
