Hello, my name is Angie. I have started this fundraiser to help my husband, Michael, and I get the dental work we so badly need. We both have many issues and need full mouth reconstructing. We have been to many dentists, but it's way too expensive, even with our dental insurance. I've been paying for the high plan dental for 6 years now, but out of a $40,000 plus bill, they will cover less than $3000. It's very depressing.
Our teeth are so bad, we are in pain almost daily, we have to be super careful of what we eat and careful about how we even chew. It's affecting our physical and mental health. It's also embarrassing to talk to people because we know they can see our bad teeth.
The dental costs in the US are outrageous. In my research, I have found that we can both go to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and get our teeth fixed forever. Even with the bone loss and such that we have, we are able to get a full mouth reconstruction with special Swiss made implants. I haven't found that in the US, and just the regular ones for one person is more than $40,000.
The $40,000 I am trying to raise will cover all dental work and all costs associated with the trip.
We are so disappointed with the dental costs here, and the fact that so many people cannot get the dental work they so desperately need! If this works out for us, we are thinking of starting something afterwards to help raise money for others.
