On Saturday October 11th, our lives changed. My mom was involved in a motorcycle accident that left her with injuries such as a compound fracture of her tibia and fibula. She currently has nerve blockers in her thigh to help ease the pain temporarily. This injury has left her requiring multiple surgeries, hospital stays, and a long road to recovery. While we are beyond grateful she is still with us, the pain, physical limitations, and emotional stress have been incredibly hard on her and our family.
My mom is one of the most, loving, caring and creative people you’ll ever meet. She is always the first to help someone else in need. She loves being on her feet, whether that’s at her place of work or at home baking, some of you might know her from Shanae’s Suga & Sweets, But now, she’s unable to do the things she loves and has been told she’ll be out of work for months.
Being forced to stay still when she’s always been on the go has been devastating for her. She can’t do the things she loves, and more importantly, she can’t do the things that make her feel like herself.
With her being out of work and the cost of medical expenses — from hospital bills to physical therapy, and mobility equipment. We’re reaching out for help. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her recovery and help ease the financial stress so she can focus on healing.
If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page means more than you know. Thank you for the love, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time. We appreciate every single one of you. ❤️
