I am the Spanish teacher at Hopkins Elementary, a Title I school where 80% of our students come from Latino and immigrant families. With funding cuts hitting our school hard, we don’t have the resources to provide the cultural programs our students deserve. This Hispanic Heritage Month, I want to bring a professional salsa team to perform and share the beauty of Latino culture with our students. For many of them, this would be the first time seeing their culture celebrated in such a joyful and public way at school. Even if we raise just $250, I am committed to personally matching the rest to make this dream a reality. Your donation, no matter the size, helps our students feel seen, valued, and proud of their heritage. Thank you for investing in their joy, culture, and education!
