#prayersforraghav

Written on behalf of the Shrestha family with their permission.

The Shrestha Family had their world turned upside down on October 5th, 2025 when Raghav, a fun-loving, adventurous 12-year-old was in a bike accident that left him with a serious head injury, despite wearing a helmet.

The head injury caused him to go into cardiac arrest.  His friend that was with him was able to call 911 to get help. Community members were able to provide him with CPR until further help arrived. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where it was determined he needed a higher level of care. He was airlifted to HCMC and now remains in critical condition on life support.

Right now, his outcome is still uncertain. We don’t know what the days ahead will bring, but we do know that Raghav is strong, loved, and surrounded by people who are fighting hard for him and praying for his recovery. Please pray for a miracle.

This fundraiser is to help with the many expenses that come with this unexpected tragedy: hospital bills, ongoing treatments/tests, therapy, and the support the family needs so they can focus on being by Raghav’s side every step of the way. Both of his parents are out of work as they remain at his bedside.

If you are able, please consider donating. Any amount will make a difference in helping the family and Raghav during this incredibly difficult time. If you can’t donate, sharing this page and keeping Raghav and his family in your thoughts and prayers means the world to them. Raghav, his parents and little brother appreciate it more than you know.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Shrestha family. Your love and support give them strength and hope during this difficult time.

From Sartell Police Chief:

We share this most current update at the request of Raghav’s family. It is with a heavy heart that we share Raghav’s condition has worsened and as of this morning his medical team has declared that he has no brain activity. We know that we speak for our entire community when we say that our hearts are broken for Raghav’s parents, brother, and entire family as he will be removed from life support later this afternoon.

The Shrestha family wanted it shared that they are deeply appreciative of the community’s support and everyone that rallied behind them in their time of need. Raghav was a cheerful and fun loving 12-year-old, doing what so many 12-year-old boys would be doing on a beautiful fall afternoon, which makes this tragedy so difficult to comprehend. His parents, while grieving the loss of their son, also wanted it to be known that more than anything they are proud to be Raghav’s parents and to have raised and known a boy that was always courageous in his words and actions. Choosing to never cause harm to people and animals alike and taking the most pride in his role as a big brother.

We learned today that Raghav’s dream was always to become a police officer when he grew up. Several of us involved in the incident were able to visit Raghav this morning, and in the presence of his family pin him with his own badge and swear him in as an honorary police officer with Sartell. Our community will continue to support Raghav’s family however we can as they process and grieve.

Raghav's family thanks you all for your thoughts, prayers and generous donations. They are so grateful.

Rest Easy, Sweet Raghav. You are forever loved.
