asking for help 😭 this is my cat spike she's about 8 months old. Over the weekend he was left with a sitter and the door was accidentally left open and he ran out and got run over by a car. We're lucky we found him and even more lucky he survived. I took him to an emergency veterinary to see the extent of his injuries. After some tests and X-rays it was determined that one of his back legs was fractured. The doctors are telling us that it could heal on its own with a splint, but that runs the risk of it not healing. If it does not heal with just a splint, due to the location of the fracture, he could lose the use of his leg entirely and then it would need to be amputated. We are being told the cost of surgery to repair his fracture and the cost of the amputation is roughly the same. I simply can't afford the cost of it. I've already maxed out my credit card just trying pay for the treatment he has been receiving . I hate asking but this is my baby, I don't know what else to do. you can donate anything at all it will help make sure he can live a normal life and climb and jump around freely again
