Kathryn Tovar passed away on Dec 13, 2022, from respiratory complications and pneumonia related to Charcot Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT)
She loved; live music, camping, art, online shopping, travel, and weekend vacations to Austin. She loved her dogs Corny & Ryan and her cat Mina. Few knew she had a guilty pleasure in watching Reality TV and had a mad shoe and designer bag game. She loved her family, and most of all, she loved her husband, Mark.
In her forty-one years as a disability rights advocate and educator, she devoted her talents to these areas while working through her CMT. She was an active member of the CMT Association and did attend their national conferences and fundraisers.
Kathryn was the founder of MKT Disability Advocates (FB Support Community)and the Director of Operations for Real Counseling Inc. counseling services run by her and her husband.
Her ultimate wish was that people experience inclusion into society and experience a full and meaningful life as she did.
All leftover monies from this medical and memorial fund will be transferred to an endowment established in Kathryn's honor with the CMTA. We will post updates next week for the endowment as well.
Please be aware that a percentage will be taken by Spotfund for cc processing.
