I’m reaching out for help after a devastating tornado struck our area and left our home without power for nearly three days. The storm hit overnight, and within hours the extended outage created a serious problem for my saltwater aquarium.
Without electricity, my aquarium heater stopped working and water circulation and oxygen levels dropped significantly. Despite doing everything I could to save them, many of my fish did not survive the outage.
For anyone familiar with saltwater aquariums, you know the fish and livestock are not only expensive but also something you grow attached to and care for every day. Watching them suffer because of circumstances beyond my control was heartbreaking.
I’m hoping to raise $1,000 to help replace the fish and equipment losses caused by this disaster and begin rebuilding my reef tank. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to me.
