Dear All,
I didn't want to update anyone about my condition until I received the results from the bone scan, MRI of the brain, and PET of the body.
The results were frightening. Writing them down on here is making me cry with, fear, sadness etc
On June 6, Dr. Jessica Crystal and I met to read the below results. She is oncology surgeon.
I will write the the results in layman' terms, as medical terminology is a bit, hard to understand to say the least
BONE SCAN FINDINGS
- Invasive ductal carcinoma, invades the dermis
- Ulceration of the skin layer
- 17 lymph nodes are macro metastatic
- Uptake in arthritis in major and minor joints
- I CAN BARELY WALK AND THERE IS A SHARP PAIN FROM MY HIP ALL THE WAY TO MY FOOT. And I have neuropathy.
PET SCAN - ENTIRE BODY FINDINGS
- Multiple soft tissue found in the mastectomy bed, concerning for recurrent disease
- Which questions that right anterior rib be removed to prevent further spreading, along with a hormone called Ribociclib
On June 20, I met with Oncologist, Dr Juan Suarez. He is putting me on series hormones. And warned I would be very ill from this drug and most likely bed ridden.
I am moving to an Assisted Living facility in August.
I have no idea what to expect and am terrified.
I am still at the nursing home where I am only left with $130 a month.
The food is awful and I cannot keep it down.
