Scamp was in the hospital fighting for his life for a week but lost his battle on 11/19. He was in the hospital due to negligence and malpractice from Banfield Pet Hospital. We took him to multiple locations begging for his Pancreatitis to be treated but it was all ignored, deflected, or downplayed. The Monday before he was admitted into the hospital (11/10) we took him again to Banfield and they finally agreed to do a Pancreas value test. It’s 11/21 and we have yet to receive the results. They also refused to treat him even though we said he’s had it before and these are the signs. The next day we called back and begged for medication for him and they agreed to give him some so we were hopeful but by the next day ( Wednesday 11/12, he was limp and not moving so we took him to the hospital. Turns out that not only had his Pancreatitis become severe but the medication given to him was just an anti diarrhea and he didn’t have diarrhea so he was admitted into the hospital that night for treatment. I would also like to add that Halloween night he was dressed up with us and having fun but that was two days after starting a pill that a different Banfield gave him called Galliprant which flares the Pancreas. So not only was he not being treating for the Pancreatitis but he was given something to further his illness. Scamp was a Banfield Wellness baby for 12 years. Because of the negligence of FOUR Banfield Veterinarians he condition became so severe that he had to be hospitalized for a week. His Pancreas started getting better but because he was in there so long and so ill, he developed Pneumonia. If it had not been for Banfield’s malpractice, he would be home with us right now.
