Hi πŸ‘‹  If you know us, then you know we are at the end of what we can do alone to continue to survive. Tony was injured at work Dec 2022. He has been off work since with $1500/month work comp. He had surgery on his shoulder in May. He has had 2 cortisone injections before and after his surgery. The insurance Co dr said that 1 month after last injection he should be back to work so Nov 2, 2023 they stopped his payments and we had to now get an attorney involved. Now thru all of 2022, Shelly's fibromyalgia flared up and she started slurring words and shuffling her feet when walking. Thru multiple dr visits she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia,  neuropathy and muscle movement disorder. In December 2022, 1 of her Dr's cut her hours to 20/week and prescribed a walker. In May, the week before Tony's surgery, and after multiple MRIs and specialist visits, her Dr said it was time for her to be done working. After 26 yeara at the La Crosse Post Office,  MAY 8, 2023 was her last day of work. Applied for SSD in May and Retirement Disability from the Post Office in June. Social Security could take 3 years, i do have an attorney.  Just found out today from OPM that they could take another 6 months to process because disabilty Retirement is different process than regular retirement.  Spent the savings we had for the 3 months Retirement should take to try to keep us up to date on bills. Duting the retirement process you cannot touch your THRIFT SAVINGS ACCOUNT even though it would help. We just keep falling further behind every month. Phones are off and on wifi only. We are part of the affordable connectivity act that is providing internet  We struggle to find/borrow money for copays for medications. All credit cards are full and now closed. Credit score took a nose dive. We have foodstamps $200/month) and energy assistance (that paid $700). Applied for rental assistance but we are 2 months behind in rent and our landlady is being as patient as she can. Foodstamps does not provide enough for 2 people that are home 24/7 except dr appointments. We know it is the Holiday Season but if there is any help you can give, it will be paid back or paid forward.  Those that have helped, we thank you dearly. You have helped so much. If you cannot donate, we understand. Please share the post and a prayer. Love to all. Shelly and Antonio

Ugh!! The nightmare continues. Yesterday we found out that they ended the work comp for Tony even tho he's not back to work yet. Lawyer can't do anything until Dr releases him back to work. So February only income will be foodshare. With Tony's stroke in Dec and my upcoming surgery I'm also afraid for his health with the added stress and having to take care of me too. Social security wants me to see their Dr and work disability retirement has me filing an appeal. I don't understand why the words of my doctors aren't enough for them!!  THAnk you for any help you can give or for just sharing!!

Well the hits keep coming....1st Tony had a stroke right before Christmas and is still recovering. He might possibly need another surgery on his shoulder and the fight between what his Dr says and the work comp doesn't want to pay continues. I got notified yesterday that retirement disability denied my claim of being disabled so I had to print another 100 pages of Dr appointment notes and get them sent in. Also found out that my primary Dr's team dropped the ball on calling rochester and getting me into the fibromyalgia. If you watch me move you can see the disabilities. I just don't understand. The depression is real for us both.  If you can or have helped, we appreciate you beyond words.

We are so appreciative of those that have donated to help us continue to live in our home. Still no updates from OPM, Social Security or Lawyer. Funds donated so far have gotten meat in the deep freezer and paid rent thus far. Christmas will be gift free but surrounded by family and that is what matters. Still no word from rental assistance and we have $140 due every Monday. Praying for something to happen quickly. Thank you for your continued prayers and shares and donations that WILL be paid back or paid forward πŸ₯° Shelly
