Meet winky, a beloved family pet that I brought home when I was around 18 years old. He currently lives with my dad who I live right across the street from. My dad called me very upset last night telling me that something was wrong with winky. I rushed him to the ER vet as he was very lethargic originally thinking it was a problem with his urinary tract. Unfortunately, when we got there we were told that they were not sure it was a urinary tract infection and that his kidney levels were very high. When we were there we were quoted around $2,000. I have already paid that, and today when I got a call from the vet we found out that he has what they believe is the beginning stages of partial kidney failure. Now this is treatable, but unfortunately it comes at a cost that my family cannot afford. And the other option would be to put winky down and we really don't want to do that as he has been with us for 10 years and still has a lot of life left in him. I am asking for your help as I am being quoted anywhere from 6,000 or more to get him the proper care. I just don't have it in me to let this cat go. He's very special to our family, and especially to my dad. He loves this cat with everything in him, but financial strain is taking its toll on choosing between love and good treatment. Please consider helping in any possible way you can, anything will help. I just want to save my baby kitty.
