Hi, my name is Cienna Bell,
I am an 8th grade student and I have an educational opportunity with the Close up program to experience Washington DC, New York, and Philadelphia. With Close up, I'll have the change to learn and explore history. I will not only learn about the founding of our nation, and our history, but this opportunity will also help to prepare me for becoming a future leader and active citizen. I won't just experience DC's monuments and memorials in a unique way, I'll also participate in hands-on activities. I'll also get the chance to meet students from across the country and learn from their experiencse and backgrounds. This is a once in a lifetime experience that will help me to learn how to be a future active citizen, participate in current events, and help influence the direction of our nation.
