Admitting that I need help is not easy and asking for help is not any easier. So please bear with me.
I know that I need to start making my mental and physical health a priority rather than putting others needs before my own. This was supposed to be that step for me, having to ask for help to achieve this taking a lot for me to do.
In 2010 my stomach ruptured. After multiple surgeries and a serious weight loss (105 pounds), I was still having issues keeping food down. For 5+ years I was vomiting 3 to 5 times a day. This chronic issue has left me with serious damage to my teeth to the point of where I am missing most of my teeth on the top. I have 1 molar on the left and 1 on the right. This makes chewing my food a chore, just to make the food small enough for my damaged stomach to digest properly. I find myself using my front teeth to do what molars are intended for.
After having many surgies to fix the vomiting issue I am still taking 3 different anti-nausea medications to help me in times of need. With the vomiting under control I had intended on getting a permanent solution to replace the teeth so I can eat properly and not feel embarrassed to eat. However, a selfish spouse always had a reason for my dental health to be put on the back burner for his own "needs" (wants). Being the type of person I am, I went with temporary solutions to try and hold off the more long term solutions.
The other teeth on the top are not in good shape and it is being recommended that they too be removed. I wanted to do this on my own, but after the divorce and dishing out thousands of dollars to get the divorce while on disability ... I do not have the credit score or ability to get the funds needed to have all of the work done that is needed. I have been told that by having the work done my reoccuring sinus infections may have a chance to resolve as well.
When I found out that I was denied for the funds needed to do what needs to be done I almost went into tears. All I want is to have some resemblence of a normal life; to be able to chew foods well enough to be digested properly; to get rid of the chronic sinus infections caused by my teeth.
Any help will be very appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your generousity
