I'm not sure where to post this, but I could use some help. I got a call from an acquaintance who works on the Crow reservation about a very pregnant female dog. Neighbors told her that she had been crying and howling for a few days. Multiple people went down to try and find over a few days, and we finally found her today. She let us come up to her and pet her, but as soon as we touched her belly, she flinched in pain. We knew something wasn't right, which was evident when we loaded her up, and she proceeded to have a puppy. The puppy was dead and to save the details, not in a good state. We immediately got on our way to the vet. She aborted another puppy on our way there. Best Friends Animal Hospital graciously got us in. She lost 11 babies, all dead, and was confirmed heartworm positive. So between her surgery and the heartworm treatment, we are at $2700. We are not a rescue, nor are we affiliated with one. We had reached out before we headed down there days ago, and everyone is full or overflowing. We couldn't leave her there to suffer any longer, but we also need help covering the vet bill. If you have it in your heart to help us in any way possible, we would appreciate it. She is in the care of Best Friends Animal Hospital in Billings overnight under Sheba Stewart. If you can help, please call them. 406-255-0500. I would like to thank everyone involved in getting this sweet soul some help!!
