We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to ask for your support for the Lagares family. Both Indira and Luis are integral members of our construction family, and their unwavering commitment to others has always been felt deeply.
As many of you may already know, their daughter, Julissa, has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer called metaplastic breast cancer. Despite the best efforts of doctors, Julissa’s condition has worsened, and this has been an incredibly difficult period for Julissa, her husband Sean, their two young children, Emma and SJ, and, of course, for Indira and Luis.
Julissa is a brave 31-year-old woman whose future in uncertain. She has already gone through multiple healthcare systems, seeking every available treatment option, including exhausting all possibilities through clinical trials.
Many of you have reached out, asking for Indira, who is our office champion. Her presence has been sorely missed. As a mother, grandmother, and loving family member, Indira has been by Julissa’s side, providing unwavering love and support through this harrowing journey. The road has been challenging for both Indira and Luis, and it continues to be.
Over the past year, the Lagares family has hesitated to ask for help, as they’ve worked tirelessly to navigate this unimaginable challenge on their own. However, with Julissa’s condition now reaching a critical point, they have come to a place where they can no longer bear the weight of it all without assistance.
In addition to the emotional and medical challenges they face, Julissa and her family have recently moved into Indira's home. One of the biggest financial burdens right now is the cost of renovating Indira's basement to accommodate Julissa, Sean, Emma, and SJ. This renovation is necessary to provide the space and comfort the family needs as they navigate this difficult time together.
We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden the family is facing during this heart-wrenching period. The funds will go toward medical expenses, daily living costs, the basement renovation, and other essential needs as they face the months ahead.
