In this small town nestled in the north of Ugambia, our Muslim brothers and sisters are joining us in the holy month of Ramadan. Some of them are fasting by choice, while others are fasting out of necessity, with little to fill their empty stomachs until the late hours of the night. As Eid draws near, we have the opportunity to bring joy to their hearts and help make their celebration a little brighter.
Let us come together in a spirit of compassion and generosity to support our fellow community members. Even the smallest contribution, such as five dollars, can make a meaningful difference in their lives. As the Quran reminds us, when we give in charity, we are not only helping others, but we are also storing up rewards for ourselves in the eyes of Allah.
So, let us heed the call to establish prayer and give Zakat, and let us open our hearts and our wallets to those in need. By doing so, we can show our Muslim brothers and sisters that we stand with them in solidarity and compassion, and help make this Eid a truly joyous occasion for all.
“And establish prayer and give Zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah.
