Hello everyone, this is a fundraiser I have started to help fun my beautiful second chance.
I was diagnosed with kidney failure in early 2009. I was devastated, I have been through every emotion there is about it. I have been depending on peritoneal dialysis for nearly ten years and I have decided that it is time for me to pursue my second chance at life by getting a kidney transplant.
But getting a transplant is not an easy task. There is the location, since there is not a transplant center in the state of Idaho I will have to travel to Utah or possibly Texas. Along with the traveling I will have to live near the transplant center for 3-4 weeks after transplant. In those weeks I will also require a medical caretaker, a friend or family who is willing to take this time out of their life to help me recover after surgery. This is a financial burden and I would like to be able to help them, whoever it might be. There is also the financial burden on my family, the most important people in my life. I will have to be off work and not be able to provide any income for them, which seems daunting!
I am asking for help, from everyone, kindly. I know that times are ever more difficult, but I don't know how else I can accomplish this second chance.
