My name is Michelle , and I am a 28-year-old international student from South Africa. I came to America with dreams of pursuing my education and building a better future for myself and my family . I left everything behind—my family, my friends, and the comfort of home—hoping to create new opportunities and experiences.
However, life has thrown me an unexpected challenge. Recently, I discovered that I need a root canal surgery due to severe dental issues that have been causing me intense pain and discomfort. Unfortunately, as an international student, I do not have health insurance that covers dental procedures, and my financial situation is extremely tight. I am currently working part-time to support my living expenses and tuition, but the cost of the surgery is far beyond my means.
The pain has made it difficult for me to focus on my studies, and I fear that without this surgery, I won’t be able to continue my education.
