❤️ Help Us Honor Easton at the 2026 JDMF Golf Outing ❤️
On May 12, 2022, our son Easton was born. After Easton passed away, we learned that he was born with a congenital heart defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA)—a serious heart condition in which the two main arteries leaving the heart are switched.
Easton’s story is one that we will carry with us forever. Although his time with us was far too short, his life continues to have meaning and continues to touch the lives of others.
💙 Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are more common than many people realize:
-Nearly 1 in 100 babies born in the United States has a congenital heart defect—about 40,000 babies every year.
-About 1 in 4 babies with a heart defect has a critical CHD, meaning they may require surgery or another procedure within their first year of life.
-Congenital heart defects are the most common type of birth defect.
For our family, these statistics aren’t just numbers. They represent babies like Easton and families whose lives are changed forever.
This year, we are asking for your help in raising money through the James Doss Memorial Foundation (JDMF) Golf Outing in honor of Easton. Our hope is to turn our love and loss into something that can help other babies and families facing congenital heart defects.
