This news has been life-altering, and while she is ready to take on this fight with strength and determination, the financial burden of medical treatments, doctor visits, copayments and daily expenses has become overwhelming.
Hope has started chemotherapy, with a plan for surgery in a few months, which comes with not only physical and emotional challenges but also significant medical bills. Hope plans to continue working as a teacher for as long as she can, only taking time off for treatment. She will have to take several weeks off in the upcoming school year for surgery.
