Our son passed away april 8, 2023 and we saw our granddaughter quite a bit before that and since we have only seen her maybe 10 times and we haven’t seen her but twice this year alone. We have gotten several nasty text messages from “the other family” we went to court but couldn’t do anything at the time due to all from a text app that couldn’t be traced back to them. We haven’t seen our granddaughter since the beginning of may 2024 and here it is almost the end of September cause the mother which I will say she is a wonderful mother to our granddaughter for keeping her clean and fed etc but on other hand we feel her keeping us from having our time alone with our granddaughter she isn’t being the greatest mom. Our son would not want this he would want us to be able to do things with her. And every time we have seen her her mom follows us like she doesn’t trust us. We have also gotten text from her mom stating our house isn’t clean to her standards and that she is afraid we are not capable of watching our granddaughter which we have raised 4 kids and we have two other grandkids that we watch a lot. We have also been told we are drug addicts and alcoholics which we can prove we are not and have never been. And none of my kids are.
anyways we have a retainer fee of $3500 for attorney fees and they said it could possibly cost more. We do not have those funds and would love help to get to visit our two yr old granddaughter on a regular basis.
