Six years ago, life took an unexpected turn when I began experiencing long COVID symptoms after having both knees replaced. There are days when the fatigue and pain make it hard to get out of bed, leaving me overwhelmed and unable to manage simple tasks. One of the hardest parts has been the brain fog, which makes me forgetful and unsure about what needs attention. It's frustrating and isolating, like watching life happen from the sidelines.
As if that wasn't enough, my husband was involved in a car accident where he was rear-ended, leaving him with severe back pain. Watching someone you love struggle is incredibly hard. Together, we are trying to find our way back to a life that feels just a little bit normal here in Pueblo, CO. Despite these challenges, we hold onto the hope that things can improve. Days are long, but hope and small, cherished moments keep us going.
