It is with heavy hearts that we share some unfortunate news with you. On September 6th, 2024, The Texas Guandi Temple, our beloved sanctuary and community cornerstone, suffered a devastating roof collapse caused by Hurricane Beryl.
For many years, The Texas Guandi Temple stood as a symbol of hope, cultural heritage, and unity for anyone who was open to learning more about Buddhism. The temple's influence has reached far beyond its walls, touching the lives of countless individuals and families across the world. It was a beautiful place to pray, to receive blessings, to celebrate and share stories.
Please keep us in your hearts and prayers as we work to rebuild as quickly and safely as possible.
This will be a long process, so thank you in advance for your patience.
Due to the significant structural and internal damages, it is unsafe for us to have visitors. All temple activities and prayer services have been suspended until further notice.
