RCSJ is dedicated to supporting our students – because no student should attend class on an empty stomach! That's why we proudly offer The Pantry, a friendly, campus-based food pantry located on both our Cumberland and Gloucester campuses.

Whether a student needs a quick meal to stay energized or groceries to stock their home, The Pantry is here to assist them. We also provide essential household and hygiene items such as toilet paper, toothbrushes, and period care products – all free and with complete confidentiality.

All donations are tax-deductible through the Rowan College of South Jersey Foundation and will go to support the operations of The Pantry at Rowan College of South Jersey.

Governed by the presidents and trustees of the state’s 18 community colleges and enshrined in state law, the New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) supports New Jersey’s community colleges and the more than 230,000 students they serve annually across 49 locations by fostering collaboration and developing solutions that expand access to college, promote equity and student success, and create a skilled workforce to drive economic growth.

Thank you to all of our generous donors! We have added cash and check donations we've received over the past several days to our fundraising total, and I am excited to announce that we are now over 50% of the way toward our fundraising goal of $5,000!

Every dollar counts in the fight against food insufficiency, and your donations truly make a difference.

The Pantry at CWS is still actively collecting food and funds for the Full Plate Project, our 5th annual food distribution event in honor of Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week. On Wednesday, November 19th, our campus food pantries will distribute free, pre-packed food bags to any student who may need food support this holiday season. This year, the need is greater than ever, and we already have 114 students on our list to receive a grocery bag. Our staff and volunteers will be working tirelessly over the next few weeks to meet the needs of our students.

Your donations bring a bit of peace, warmth, and joy to our community at a time when it is desperately needed!

With gratitude,
Samantha Van Kooy
Associate Vice President for Community Engagement and Human Services, Rowan College of South Jersey

We're pleased to be 13% of the way toward reaching our $5,000 fundraising goal, and we're thankful for all the support we've received from friends, community leaders, and students at RCSJ in helping us get this far! Every dollar counts as we work toward the goal of making sure no student goes to class hungry. As millions of Americans brace for the reality of waking up on November 1 without the SNAP benefits they rely on to afford their groceries, our community pantries are being asked to do more than ever before to be the safety net for our neighbors. We're committed to financial responsibility to ensure your donations have the biggest impact right here in South Jersey.
With gratitude,
Samantha Van Kooy
