Hey everyone,
It’s me, Alana. Five months ago I spent 11 days in Paris and completely fell in love with everything about it. I felt so at home in every aspect of my stay there, and I’ve thought about going back almost every day since. Now, in a giant leap of faith, I’m leaving my full time job to explore the dreams and endeavors that I haven't had an opportunity to pursue, and beginning my journey with an entire month in Paris. If my trip back in October taught me anything, it was the value of beauty, art and culture as nourishment and inspiration for the soul — I have already begun to conceive of my business plans here in Los Angeles, but I feel this month is an important start to a year of self discovery, as well as the realization of my goals and dreams.
For my birthday, all I’m asking of my loved ones is donations to my Paris Fund. You may ask,"Why such a high number?" Well, it will go towards my travel expenses, a few months of rent back home, as well as providing some security for myself when I return and begin the process of finding new work. In essence, it's a big, symbolic goal for a year of dreaming big.
Anything and everything counts and is deeply appreciated ($5 in Paris can buy my morning croissant and a double espresso too).
