Last night, our hearts were shattered. Our dad, Rodney, passed away, and it still doesn’t feel real. No matter what life looked like or what we went through, he was our dad — and that’s a bond that can never be replaced. He leaves behind me and my seven siblings, all of us grieving in our own way, all of us trying to make sense of a loss that feels so heavy. Right now, our family is hurting deeply. We are leaning on each other, trying to find strength, and holding onto the love that will always be there, even though he’s gone. As we face this unimaginable loss, we are also dealing with the financial burden of laying him to rest. Unfortunately, our dad did not have life insurance, and the responsibility of funeral and memorial expenses has fallen on our family during an already overwhelming time. It’s hard to ask for help, but we truly cannot do this alone. We want to give Our Dad Rodney the goodbye he deserves — something peaceful, something meaningful, something that reflects that he was loved.
