Asking for Help
This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do — ask for help.
I’ve always been the person everyone comes to when they need something. I will do anything I can for the people I love, and I’ve never been afraid to work hard to take care of myself and others. So honestly, I’m embarrassed and uncomfortable even having to make this post.
Recently, I became very sick and was unable to work for a while. During that time, I lost my job and fell behind financially. I’ve just recently been able to return to work, and I’m working hard to get back on my feet, but unfortunately I’m now facing eviction and the possibility of losing everything I’ve worked so hard for.
I’ve been sober for four years, and that has been one of the hardest and most important accomplishments of my life. I’ve worked incredibly hard to rebuild my life and get to where I am today. The thought of losing everything after fighting so hard to build a better life is heartbreaking.
I know everyone has their own struggles, and I don’t expect anyone to give what they can’t. But if you’re able to help, even a small amount would make a huge difference right now. If you can’t donate, sharing this means just as much to me.
It’s humbling to be the person who usually helps everyone else and now be the one asking for help. But right now, I truly need it.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this, share it, donate, or simply send some encouragement. I appreciate it more than you know. ❤️
