Shortly after My bf and I came home from our vacation, we both notice that our hot water was not working properly. It would go from warm to cold within minutes. This was a pretty big problem since we need hot water to shower and wash dishes. So like anyone, we contacted our landlord. Two guys came over to "fix" our water heater from 10am-8:30pm on the 8th of September. Once they left, my roommate, bf, and I decided to go get fast food.
We were gone for no more than 10 minutes and noticed that our front porch was spitting out water. With haste, we opened the front door to a horrific sight. The water heater burst, and flooded our apartment with 2-5 inches of water. This caused some of our electronics to fry, and electrocute us when we had to unplug our belongings. This was devastating, but there was nothing we could do to salvage our stuff.
I've spoke to our landlord, but was immediately disappointing in the lack of help due to our contract. In the meantime, any donations will directly support my bf, my roommate, and I. If you can't donate, then please share this! Tysm for reading and your support!!!
