Our beloved Pat suffered an aneurysm and stroke on his way to work on April 5th. Pat’s blood pressure was 280 when he was transported to the hospital where he underwent emergency brain surgery to save his life. Pat is currently in the Stroke Unit (ICU) and has had several essential procedures to date with more ahead. His survival is truly a miracle!
Thank you all for your calls, texts, prayers, notes of encouragement, and outpouring of love. The show of concern and love for Patrick; and our entire family, has left us speechless. Words cannot express our level of gratitude for Pat’s fighting spirit and appreciation for the immeasurable ways his community wants to stand with him during this difficult time. Everyone has asked how they can best assist, and thus this page was created.
Based on the prognosis, Pat may be required to utilize a wheelchair for the next few months, if not longer. This means we need to make some structural changes so his home is accessible for the wheelchair. In addition, we would like to purchase an affordable minivan to transport Pat to and from his medical appointments and ongoing physical therapy. Lastly, as Pat is unable to work at this time, we must navigate economic hurdles to provide for his monthly expenses for at least 3 months, while he focuses on his full recovery and strives to rebound to the Pat we all know and love.
Even if you’re not in a financial situation to be able to support the fund, please consider sharing this so we can do everything we can to help Pat during this challenging time. Thank you to everyone for your support!
