Hi everyone my name is Angel. My furbaby, Bugsby, has been fighting for his life recently. A week ago, I noticed that he was having issues going to the bathroom. I immediately took him to the emergency room as he was curling under the dining room table howling in pain and crying frantically. Bugsby was diagnosed with a urinary blockage and was not been able to pee. This is fatal when not treated and is excruciatingly painful for them.
I immeadiatley got him treated for the first blockage and told the doctors to do whatever they can to save him.
The first bill for this procedure was $3400....I asked the doctors if there was anything they could do to work on the price and help me be able to fund this surgery for my Bugsby. Unfortunately they were firm on the price. Unwilling to budge, I told them I would find the means to pay and to proceed with any procedure necessary to keep Bugsby alive.
After recovering in the hospital for a few days, I took Bugsby home. The next day, Bugsby was howling and crying in pain yet again. I was devastated. He crawled into his litter box, tried to pee, and was unable to. The $3400 problem was not even fixed. Bugsby was still suffering. It was 11pm and I had no other option but to take him to a 24 hour emergency vet hospital to unblock him yet again.
The doctors advised that he needed to be unblocked yet again (the procedure costing $3400 that was done), and now needed an additional surgery on his bladder to remove the stones causing the blockages. The doctor came out and went over the pricing and I was devastated.
I'm asking for your help to keep Bugsby alive. He now needs two more procedures and I am at a loss for words. I am so devastated at the thought of losing a part of my life I care for so much.
